Event Details

The focus of the January discussion is Blockchain. Will it scale and be useful outside the cryptocurrency market? Will it remain the disruptor it has been pegged as or become an unusable solution? Future Talk meets the 3rd Wednesday night of the month (taking a break June-August). Discussions will be led by Assistant Library Director David Nimmer. Open to ages 11+. No registration required.

Future Talk is an open-ended discussion series on science & technology trends, covering everything new happening around us. There are always exciting announcements in the fields of hard science, transportation, our brains & bodies, the future of carbon nanotubes, gains in Artificial Intelligence, & also fun discussions on future societies, living forever, robots, drones, & intelligent computers replacing us or taking over the world. All in all, there is a lot to discuss & be informed about! Each month focuses on a different main topic.
